My last day, and I regret that I must go
Sat at breakfast and talked to the Australian duo
Vee and Jerry, we laughed and decided to meet at seven for dinner
Go to Michael d'angelos because the restaurant is a winner.
Walking in the piaza I see Pepe from the first day,
He says meet at the bank at the wharf for a boat ride around three.
Go to Monica's and buy a gift certificate for Lucia for a massage
She works so hard, she deserves something for her wonderful lodge.
Around the corner I run into Bruno
"Ciao Vittoria, you didn't meet met the other hour.
When are you going, you must stay the week
There is music and dancing, it is just beginning the tourist peak."
I said to meet me at Michael d'Angelos are seven
And he said he will bring me a copy of his CD to remember him.
How can I forget, I've been avoiding him every day,
Because I could get in trouble with him in all kinds of ways.
I catch a bus to Villa San Michele in Anancapri
A very nice man gives me direction and walks with me.
Villa San Michele is the Alex Munthe Museum
A very curious fellow that was a Dr from Sweden.
He wrote a famous book, "The Story of Capri,"
Which became a best seller in many countries.
He was an animal lover and physician as well as a writer,
He bought the villa & church, restored it and retired.
He collected art and flora from the island
And made it into a museum, willed it to Sweden.
Guissepe told me to walk the 1,000 steps back to Capri
It was the ancient Roman road you see.
That joined both parts of the island from north to south,
It brought me to the Marina's mouth.
Up again, I walked the road to the Capri Mountain piazza
Went back to the hotel for a bit of a siesta.
Down to the wharf to meet Guissepe for the boat trip
Around the island on the little ship.
It was amazing to see the island from a different side
I saw all the trails, steps and ruins I have walked since I arrived.
We went into the green and blue grottos,
Sailed through the kissing arch for luck, is their motto.
I took so many photos of this beautiful place
That I want to cry for it has found me a space.
On the boat was another man taking photos and alone
I talked to him and found out he is a business man from the Ukraine.
Ali is his name and he asked directions
I said follow me, we are staying at the same connection.
I asked him to meet several of us for dinner tonight
He agreed and we shall see what is in sight.
