2. Holidays with family

Visiting family during the holidays.

Cathe & I arrived on my birthday around three,

Had a 60^th birthday party at Edith’s… all for me!

Family & friends did appear.

Lots of wine, presents, food , birthday cake and beer!

Next day was Thanksgiving at Isaac’s

With many of Trisha’s family,

Daughter Deirdre, husband, children and Cathe still with me.

Had a wonderful dinner and then had to leave,

Off to Steve & Stellas and then Aunt Bobbie’s.

Saw all the cousins and Cathe’s mom, Aunt Dee.

Gave her the car, full of gas and the keys.

Saturday, Cathe and I took mom and Aunt Dee

To Farmington to catch up on ole’ memories.

We saw the old homes and Uncle Dick’s name on the Vet wall,

Sat at the root beer stand and reminisced it all.

Cathe had to leave with mother

Driving back to Buffalo New York, draggin her brother!

The next few weeks in Illinois were filled with visits,

Yoga classes, massages, Juice Plus parties and art exhibits.

Grand daughter Chloe’s skating party with a dozen girls,

Next week, it was Savannah’s…birthday movie nite for thrills.

Traveled to Michigan for Julian’s 4^th,

Swimming party with 15 ittie, bittie kids, of course!

Few days before Christmas to travel to Ethan’s house in North Carolina,

A 17 hour trip, “Paul, let’s not stop anymore,” I’m crying!

Met Ethan’s girlfriend Amanda for the first time,

Like her, for sure, she’s a one of a kind!

Enjoyed all week, full of food, museums and ice skating,

Now the drive back, Oh God, I hate the waiting.

Arrived in Michigan, full of snow,

I have to just go with the flow!

Night before New Year’s Eve, Deirdre had a potluck,

Paul’s family showed up, minus his mother, no such luck!

I left the next morning to drive back to my son’s house,

Mom was the only one there, but I fell asleep at 8 and slept like a mouse.

Week before I leave for my Italy trip,

Had so much to do to be fully equipped.

Time to say goodbye to all my loved ones

Sister-in-law had dinner, all Italian.
